About this
topic

Technology is reshaping how paediatric upper limb surgeons plan, execute, and assess their operations — but the gap between proof-of-concept and routine clinical use is often wider than vendor literature suggests.

The Day 1 Technology session takes a measured look at the tools that have moved from novelty to clinical relevance: 3D printing in paediatric orthopaedics, 3D model use for forearm osteotomy planning (where the technology consistently delivers), and the role of the gait lab in assessing upper limb function in cerebral palsy.
