Four ways to present your work
Abstracts can be submitted under four categories. The same paper cannot be submitted in more than one category, and a delegate can make only one presentation in each category.
Free Paper
Original clinical or research work suitable for oral presentation.
Interesting Case / Innovative Idea
A unique, challenging, unusual, or educational case, or an innovative concept, technique, or idea with relevance to paediatric upper-limb surgery.
Surgical Video
A surgical video demonstrating an interesting or innovative surgical technique, approach, or procedure.
E-Poster
Original clinical work, case reports, research, or innovative ideas presented in e-poster format.
Structure & word limit
Maximum word limit: 500 words. The abstract should be structured under the following headings.
- 1.Title
- 2.Introduction
- 3.Case Material
- 4.Results
- 5.Discussion
- 6.Conclusion
This structured format is primarily applicable to written abstracts. For Surgical Videos and E-Posters, category-specific submission requirements may apply.
What you need to know before you submit
- Abstracts can be submitted only through the official PULS 2026 submission portal (link above).
- Last date for submission: 30 September 2026.
- Only registered delegates are eligible to submit abstracts.
- The same paper cannot be submitted in more than one category.
- A delegate can make only one presentation in each category.
- Only the lead author can make the scientific presentation.
- Only the presenting author will receive a certificate for the presentation.
- Author names and the lead author cannot be changed after submission.
- Do not mention the name of any author, institution, hospital, or affiliation anywhere in the abstract. Any such disclosure will result in automatic disqualification.
- All submissions will be reviewed by a panel of experts through a blinded and coded review process.
- The PULS 2026 Scientific Committee will communicate the acceptance or rejection of the submission.
- The decision of the Scientific Committee regarding selection will be final.
- The PULS 2026 Committee reserves the right to withdraw a submission at any stage.
Criteria for automatic disqualification
A submission will be automatically disqualified if:
- Author name(s) or institutional affiliation(s) are disclosed directly or indirectly anywhere in the submission.
- The study has been previously published.
- The submission contains plagiarised, fabricated, or doctored data.
How to submit
- Log on to the PULS 2026 abstract submission portal using the button at the top of this page.
- Click on "Abstracts."
- Read the general submission guidelines.
- Select the appropriate category.
- Read the guidelines specific to that category.
- Upload the abstract/video as applicable.
- Click "Submit."
- Submission is complete only when the screen displays: "Abstract has been submitted successfully."
What we're looking for
We encourage submissions that are original, scientifically sound, clinically relevant, innovative, and educational.
Please ensure that your submission is concise, appropriately structured, and completely anonymised. Submissions exceeding the 500-word limit, where applicable, or violating the submission guidelines may not be considered.
